Patients with upper trunk brachial plexopathies may have clinical examination findings of sensory impairments following the C5-6 dermatomes, biceps brachii and brachioradialis muscle stretch reflex abnormalities, and weakness of C5-6 innervated muscles with sparing of the serratus anterior, rhomboid, and paraspinal muscles.
[5] Asaka et al[10] described an abscess around the elbow joint and between the biceps brachii and brachioradialis muscles in a patient with tuberculous arthritis.
