Brecelj, Bogdan
Born May 6, 1906, in the city of Gorica. Yugoslav orthopedic surgeon. Member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (1949). Foreign member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR (1963). Brecelj received his medical education in Innsbruck, Austria. In 1945 he became a professor in the subdepartment of orthopedics of the medical department at the University of Ljubljana, director of an orthopedic clinic, and director of the Center for Rehabilitation of Invalids. Brecelj’s principal works are devoted to questions of orthopedics and traumatology. Brecelj is one of the authors of the textbook Military Surgery. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
