Brooks, Alfred (Hulse) (1871–1924) geographer; born in Ann Arbor, Mich. In 1903 he was made chief of the Alaska section of the Geological Survey; he became the authority of this land and published widely on it. The Geography and Geology of Alaska (1906) was a comprehensive treatment of the subject. A mountain range in Alaska bears his name. How to thank TFD for its existence?
