Bruck an der Mur (br k än dĕr m r), city (1991 pop. 14,046), in Styria prov., E central Austria, at the confluence of the Mur and the Mürz rivers. Manufactures include metal products and paper; Bruck is an important rail junction in the region. It was founded in 1263 by King Ottocar II of Bohemia.
