Budišyn, Peace of (1018)
signed in the Lusatian city of Budišyn (in German, Bautzen). It concluded the German-Polish wars that were fought intermittently between 1003 and 1018 in the course of which Poland defended its independence. The Peace of Budišyn gave Poland Lusatia, Moravia, and part of the mark (margravate) of Meissen. SOURCEKronika Thietmara. Poznan, 1953.Want to thank TFD for its existence?
