Buell, Raymond Leslie (1896–1946) editor, writer; born in Chicago. He taught history and government at several colleges during the 1920s. He was the research director (1927–33) and then president (1933–39) of the Foreign Policy Association. An early anti-isolationist, he championed a global policy for the U.S.A.
