Bulgan 

city in the north central part of the People’s Republic of Mongolia, near the Orkhon River. Administrative center of Bulgan Aimak (oblast). Population, 7, 700 (1963). The city is linked by a highway with Ulan Bator. It is the center of a region of pasture livestock raising and farming. There are food enterprises.
