Buller River

Buller River

River, South Island, New Zealand. It was named for Charles Buller, founder of the New Zealand Co. It is the major river of the island's west coast. Rising in the central highlands, it flows west 110 mi (177 km) into the Tasman Sea. Its gorge, which is most scenic at Inangahua Junction, is an important tourist attraction.
