Buriat Code 

the conventional name of the common law of the Angara region Buriats (Bulagats). It was written down from the words of the tribal aristocracy by the Russian military man B. Serebrennikov. It has 11 articles, listing legal transgressions of freemen and slaves and the compensatory tax for them. It is analogous to the Russian Code and other similar documents. The Buriat Code is a valuable source for the study of Buriat history.
