Burmistrova, Natal’ia Mikhailovna
Born Mar. 14, 1918, in Borisov. Soviet Russian actress. People’s Artist of the USSR (1972). After making her debut in 1936, Burmistrova performed at theaters in such cities as Petropavlovsk and Gorky. In 1948 she joined the Griboedov Tbilisi Russian Drama Theater. Her roles have included Nina Zarechnaia in Chekhov’s The Seagull, Nora in Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, the title role in Arbuzov’s Tanta, and Val’ka in Arbuzov’s Irkutsk Story. She has also appeared as Nila Snizhko in Salynskii’s The Drummer Girl, Elena Kol’tsova in A. and P. Tur’s Ambassador Extraordinary, and Mariia L’vovna in Gorky’s The Summer People. Burmistrova was a deputy to the fourth and fifth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the Georgian SSR. She has been awarded three orders and various medals. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
