Burton Island State Park Location: Off the southwestern tip of St Albans Point in Lake Champlain's "inland sea." Park is accessible only by boat. Ferry departs from Kill Kare State Park. Facilities: 43 campsites (26 with lean-tos), hot showers, flush toilets, picnic areas, snack bar, 100-slip marina with power hookups, boat and canoe rentals, park store, nature center. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking. Special Features: A farm in the 1840s through the early 1900s, old fence lines, stone piles, rusted farm implements and the foundation of an old barn can still be seen.
