Buryn’

 

a city (since 1964), administrative center of Buryn’ Raion, Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Railroad station (Putivl’) on the Vorozhba-Bakhmach line. Population, 10, 800 (1968). Buryn’ has food industries (a sugar combine, a creamery, and drying and seed factories) as well as building materials enterprises.
