Busygin, Aleksandr Kharitonovich
Born May 28 (June 6), 1907, in the village of Kalevatovskoe, Kostroma Province. Blacksmith at the Gorky automobile factory; one of the founders of the Stakhanovite movement in the automotive industry. Member of the CPSU since 1938. In September 1935 he set a labor productivity record by forging 966 crankshafts in one shift as against a norm of 675. (Subsequently he achieved an output of 1, 146 crankshafts.) He was the superintendent of the factory’s forge shop; he is now the recipient of a special pension. He has been awarded the Order of Lenin and two other orders. WORKSZhizn’ moia i moikh druzei.
