15 species with different looks. Shiny leaves, 5-7 petal white flowers with 5 yellow stamens (usually one per stem) and bright yellow super thin thread-like roots. Leaves are waxy green in three sections or leaflets, similar to a strawberry, but smaller and hugging the ground more tightly. The thin delicate golden roots are the part used. Antiinflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-cancer. Very astringent- chew root for canker sores. Tea used for jaundice, stomach cramps, stomach ulcers, stomach and testicular cancer, nausea, candida.
