CADAM

CADAM
A full-featured IBM mainframe CAD application, which includes 3D capability, solid modeling and numerical control. Originally developed by Lockheed for internal use, it was distributed by IBM starting in the late 1970s. In 1989, IBM purchased the Lockheed subsidiary, CADAM, Inc.

Lockheed is running NCL on Silicon Graphics workstations as well as its mainframes in conjunction with CADAM, CATIA, Pro/Engineer, and SDRC's I-DEAS software.
the worldwide leader in client-server design visualization and collaboration solutions for the high technology, automotive, industrial automation and discrete manufacturing industries, today announced that Japanese developer ASA Systems, well known within the CAD market, has leveraged the power and open architecture of Actify Software Developer Toolkit (SDK) to create an importer that supports MICRO CADAM files.
The company also announced that leading MCAD, CAD/CAM/CAE software vendors such as CADAM Inc, Computervision Corp, Matra Datavision Inc, Parametric Technology Corp, and HP, are making their software available on HP's UNIX system-based workstations.
