CDG

(CDMA Development Group, Costa Mesa, CA, www.cdg.org) A membership organization founded in 1995 that promotes CDMA wireless systems worldwide. It is involved with developing new features and services and promoting standards that provide global compatibility and interoperability. It also develops system tests that verify performance of cdmaOne systems. In 2007, the association reported that the global CDMA subscriber base had grown to more than 377 million users, fueled in large part by the public's embrace of CDMA2000 (3G) technology. See CDMA2000 and CDMA.
