Cabrera y Griñó, Ramón
(count of Morella). Born Dec. 27, 1806, in Tortosa; died May 24, 1877, in Wandsworth, near London. Spanish politician and one of the military leaders of the Carlists. In the first Carlist War (1833-40) Cabrera y Griñó’s troopsfought in the southeastern part of Spain, in the district of Maes-trazgo. In 1837 he took part in the campaign of Don Carlos theElder against Madrid. Emigrating in 1840, he returned to leadan unsuccessful Carlist uprising in Catalonia in 1848-49, afterwhich he again emigrated. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
