Caldwell, Philip (1920– ) automobile executive; born in Bourneville, Ohio. He had a long career at Ford Motor Company (1953–85), where he headed truck operations, the Philco division, and international operations (he introduced the Ford Fiesta to Europe) before becoming president (1978–80); he retired as CEO and chairman.
