Caloocan

 

a city in the Philippines, located in the southwestern part of the island of Luzon. Population, 274, 500 (1970). It is part of the industrial complex of Greater Manila. Caloocan has traditional branches of industry, such as the production of rubber articles, food processing and the production of food specialty items, and textile and garment industries. The city also has metallurgical, machine-building, and chemical industries.
