Location: 2 miles north of Camden on US 1.
Facilities: 107 campsites with showers and flush toilets (é), picnic area, hiking trails (30 miles). Open May 15-October 15.
Activities: Camping, hiking, snowmobiling.
Special Features: Park's signature location is the scenic vista atop Mount Battie, which offers sweeping views of Camden Harbor, Penobscot Bay, and surrounding islands. An easy foot trail leads up Mount Megunticook, highest of the Camden Hills. Harbor cruises and whale and puffin watches are available daily in nearby Camden, just a few minutes from the park.

Camden Hills State Park, which boasts it is "where the mountains meet the sea," features some fine day hikes and great views from the auto road that winds to the stone tower atop Mount Battie.
The trail that traverses the wooded ridge of Mount Megunticook in Camden Hills State Park offers the best views of the entire surrounding area.
Mount Battie Auto Road The toll road to the top of Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park is one of the few places in Maine where you can drive a short distance and be on top of a superb lookout with great views of land and sea.
