Campo Grande
a city in SW Brazil, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul state on the São Paulo--Corumbá railway: market centre. Pop.: 746 000 (2005 est.)

Campo Grande 

a city in western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso. Population, 140, 400 (1970). Metallurgy is an important activity. Campo Grande is a center of the food industry, particularly of combined slaughterhouses-refrigeration plants. The cattle trade is also important.
