Campomanes, Pedro Rodríguez de, conde de Campomanes (pā`thrō rôthrē`gāth kōn`dā dā kämpōmä`nās), 1723–1802, Spanish statesman, economist, and author. As president of the council of Castile under Charles III and briefly under Charles IV, he introduced administrative, social, and economic reforms.
