White River State Park

Location: 1 block west of the RCA Dome in downtown Indianapolis.
Special Features: This large urban park includes a zoo, a botanical garden, a 15,000-seat natural grass ballpark (Victory Field), an IMAX Theater, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, and the NCAA Hall of Champions. The park is governed by the White River State Park Development Commission, which is composed of the mayor of Indianapolis, president of Indiana University, and the director of the Department of Natural Resources, as well as seven citizens appointed by the governor.
