Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway Location: In the southern portion of the panhandle, 100 miles southeast of Amarillo. Facilities: Developed tent campsites, campsites with water and electricity hookups, primitive campsites, horsemen's camp, group camp, showers, restrooms, picnic areas, hiking trails, bike trails, bridle trails, horse rentals, boat ramp, boat rentals (seasonal), fishing pier, interpretive center, amphitheater, park store, playground, scenic overlook. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, backpacking, bicycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing. Special Features: Park includes the Trailway, a 64-mile rail-to-trail conversion that traverses three counties, crosses 46 bridges, and runs through Clarity Tunnel, one of the last active railroad tunnels in Texas.
