Cardin, Shoshana

Cardin, Shoshana (1926–  ) volunteer, philanthropist; born in Tel Aviv, Palestine (now Israel). She came to this country in 1927. A 1946 graduate of the University of California: Los Angeles, she received her M.A. from Antioch University in 1979. She was named Woman of the Year by B'nai B'rith Women of Maryland and the outstanding citizen by the city of Baltimore in 1969. President of the Council of Jewish Federations of New York (1984–87), she was active in a number of other philanthropic, civic, and religious organizations.
