Carlucci, Frank Charles (1930– ) diplomat, government official; born in Scranton, Pa. He studied at Harvard and Princeton and then fought in the Korean War. He was a foreign service officer (1956–69), ambassador to Portugal (1975–78), and deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency (1978–81).
