Carúpano 

a city in Venezuela, in Sucre state, on the Carib-bean coast. Population, 45, 100 (1969). Carúpano is a tradingcenter and fishing port, serving the agricultural regions andfishing industries on the Peninsula de Paria. Coffee and cacao are exported.
