operations connected with the cash receipts and payments of enterprises, institutions, and organizations. In the USSR, cash operations are performed in accordance with the Regulations for Conducting Cash Operations by Enterprises, Institutions, and Organizations (approved by the Council of Ministers of the USSR on Jan. 15, 1949) and apply mainly to monetary settlements with the population and credit institutions. Cash operations are registered in a cashbook.
