CEBus(Consumer Electronic Bus) An EIA standard for a control network for the home using a variety of media, including AC power lines, telephone wire, coaxial cable as well as wireless. CEBus uses the Common Application Language (CAL) to communicate commands over the lines, and the Home Plug & Play specification provides a uniform implementation for using CAL with household objects. The CEBus Industry Council (CIC) supports this effort, and the CEBus trademark is owned by the EIA, www.eia.org. How to thank TFD for its existence?
