Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve Location: 6 miles northeast of Cedar Key on SR 24, just north of Waccassa Bay State Preserve (see separate entry). Facilities: Picnic area, multi-use trails, canoe and kayak rental. Activities: Boating, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, picnicking, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Reserve consists of diverse habitats of salt marsh, swamps, hardwood forests, pine flatwoods, and scrub, which support a variety of wildlife.
