Centroacinar Cells
in animals and man, part of the basic mass of the exocrine portion of the pancreas. The cells constitute the terminal branchings of the intercalary acinar sections of the excretory ducts in the caudal part of the gland. The centroacinar cells are involved in the formation and secretion of sodium bicarbonate—a component of pancreatic juice. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
