centumviri (sĕntŭm`vĭrī) [Lat.,=a hundred men], in ancient Rome, law court of a varying number of members representing each Roman tribe that heard civil cases involving land and property claims. Under the empire the centumviri had to deal chiefly with inheritance. It is last mentioned in A.D. 395.
