Chadwick, Lynn

Chadwick, Lynn, 1914–, English sculptor. After studying architecture, Chadwick began his career as a sculptor in 1945. He first produced wire mobiles mobile (mō`bēl), a type of moving sculptural artwork developed by Alexander Calder in 1932 and named by Marcel Duchamp .

, and after 1955 he turned to triangular works of great mass that are largely abstract. Several of his works are in the Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
