Chamberlain, Owen (1920– ) physicist; born in San Francisco. He worked on the Manhattan Project (1942–46) and at the Argonne National Laboratory (1946–48) before joining the faculty of the University of California: Berkeley (1948). He was awarded the 1959 Nobel Prize in physics, jointly with his colleague Emilio Segrè, for research on the antiproton. How to thank TFD for its existence?
