Chaplin, Vladimir Mikhailovich
Born 1859; died Nov. 10,1931. Soviet scientist and teacher, a specialist in heating and ventilation engineering. Chaplin graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical School; in 1898 he became a professor there. In 1905 he developed Russia’s first forced-circulation hot-water heating system; this system is still of value in present-day sanitary engineering.
