(biochemistry)
C24H40O4A constituent of bile; needlelike crystals with a melting point of 119°C; soluble in alcohol, methanol, and acetic acid; used on an experimental basis to prevent and dissolve gallstones. Also known as anthropodesoxycholic acid; chenic acid; gallodesoxycholic acid.
