Chickasaw National Wildlife Refuge Address: 1505 Sand Bluff Rd Ripley, TN 38063 Phone: 731-635-7621; Fax: 731-635-0178; Web: www.fws.gov/chickasaw Established: 1985. Location: 9 miles north of Ripley. Facilities: Visitor contact station, viewing sites, trails, auto tour route, boat ramps. Activities: Boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, hunting. Special Features: Refuge protects some of the last remaining bottomland hardwood forest in the Lower Mississippi Valley and provides a stopover for waterfowl migrating and wintering along the Mississippi River. Habitats: 24,096 acres of bottomland hardwood forest, agricultural lands, grassland/shrub, and open water. Access: Open year round during daylight hours.
