Chicoutimi and Jonquière 

two cities in eastern Canada, in Quebec. Combined population, 136,000 (1973, including suburbs). Chicoutimi is situated on the Saguenay River. The two cities constitute a major center of the chemical, pulp and paper, and metallurgical industries. Chicoutimi has a ferroalloy foundry.

Up until now, Saguenay's land trust has carried out many studies concerning the management and recycling of urban woodlands and ravines, mainly in the Chicoutimi and Jonquiere boroughs.
