Chidambaram

Chidambaram (chĭdŭm`bərəm), town (1991 pop. 67,949), Tamil Nadu state, SE India. It markets rice and produces textiles and processed food. Its temples are among the oldest examples of Dravidian art. Annamalai Univ., a leading school of S India, is nearby.

4 (ANI): Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said that Kashmiri Pandit migrants would be consulted on issues regarding their return to the valley and rehabilitation.
The veteran reporter with one of India's largest newspapers, the Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, asked Mr Chidambaram several questions about the Central Bureau of Investigation's findings that cleared a senior Congress party leader of any involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots that left thousands dead.
