Chile Rise

Chile Rise 

a submarine ridge in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, extending from the continental shelf of South America northwest to the East Pacific Rise. Chile Rise is approximately 2,000 km long and 400–600 km wide. Prevailing depths over the crest are 3,000–3,500 m, with a minimum depth of 2,068 m. Relative height is approximately 1,500 m. The surface is strongly dissected. In the axial area there is a depression with a depth of 4,631 m.
