a city in Thailand, on the Gulf of Thailand. Capital of the changwat (province) of Chon Buri. Population, 40,500 (1965). A transportation and trade center on the Bangkok-Sattahip highway, Chon Buri has a food-processing industry, the principal product of which is sugar.
