Chwast, Seymour (1931–  ) graphic designer; born in New York City. Based in New York, he studied with Will Barnett at Cooper Union, New York (1948–51), was a cofounder (with Milton Glaser) of Push Pin Studios, New York (1954), and was publisher and editor of Push Pin Graphic magazine (1974–81) and Push Pin Press (1976–81). His eclectic approach to design is also exemplified in the television series I, Claudius (1977).
