Location: Off Route 301, west of Taconic State Parkway or east of NYS Rt 9.
Facilities: 80 tent campsites, RV camping area, restrooms and showers (é), picnic areas, picnic pavilions, hiking trails (70 miles), nature trail, hiking and bike trails, bridle path, groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, sledding area, beach, hand launch boat ramp, rowboat rentals, food (é).
Activities: Camping (includng group camping), boating (no power boats), fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, horseback riding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, sledding, recreation and nature programs, educational programs.
Special Features: Park includes a large, sandy beach at Canopus Lake, groomed trails at Fahnestock Winter Park, and the Taconic Outdoor Education Center. The campground is formed along the park's natural rock ridges, providing alcoves of privacy for campers.
