Cleburne, Patrick (Ronayne) (1828–64) Confederate soldier; born in the County of Cork, Ireland. A one-time ranker in the British army, he immigrated to America and prospered as a druggist, and later as a lawyer, in Helena, Ark. One of the hardest-hitting division commanders in Confederate service, Cleburne fought at Shiloh, Perryville, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga; he was killed in battle at Franklin, Tenn., on Nov. 30, 1864.
