cluster sampling [′kləs·tər ‚sam·pliŋ]
(statistics)
A random sampling plan in which the population is subdivided into groups called clusters so that there is small variability within clusters and large variability between clusters.

Tech, MBBS, LLB and MBA studying in Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, using the Cluster Sampling Technique.
The two-stage cluster sampling surveys among reproductive-aged women, 15 to 45 years old, were conducted between September 2006 and January 2007 in the Shan, Mon, Karen, and Karenni communities in eastern Myanmar.
We also examined whether all outcomes were evaluated for all participants and whether adjustments for cluster sampling were made in clustered studies.
