Colombes (kôlôNb`), city (1990 pop. 79,058), Hauts-de-Seine dept., N central France, on the Seine River. An industrial suburb of Paris, Colombes has fuel refineries, foundries, and tire plants. A 16th-century church and a sports arena are in the city.

a city in France on the Seine River, in the Hauts de-Seine Department; a northwestern industrial suburb of Paris. Population, 80,400 (1968). Rubber articles (mainly automobile tires), plastics, machines, electrical engineering products, and measuring devices are manufactured in Colombes, and food and printing industries are located there.
