(electricity)
A system of colors used to indicate the electrical value of a component or to identify terminals and leads.
(engineering)
Any system of colors used for purposes of identification, such as to identify dangerous areas of a factory.
A system of colors used to identify the type of material carried by a pipe; for example, dangerous materials, protective materials, extra valuable materials.

A system of colors adopted for identification of pipes, cables, wiring, or the like.
