The study used a quasi-experimental design to evaluate the effectiveness of the PIE principles for combat stress reaction casualties during the 1982 Lebanon War, with follow-up after 1 year and 20 years.
The most common problems were combat stress reactions such as sleep disturbances, fatigue, concentration disturbances, anxiety, dysphoria, and emotional numbing, he said.
