concentration cell [‚kän·sən′trā·shən ‚sel]
(physical chemistry) Electrochemical cell for potentiometric measurement of ionic concentrations where the electrode potential electromotive force produced is determined as the difference in emf between a known cell (concentration) and the unknown cell.
