conformal map |
Also found in: Wikipedia | 0.03 sec. |
conformal mapIn mathematics, a transformation of one graph into another in such a way that the angle of intersection of any two lines or curves remains unchanged. The most common example is the Mercator map, a two-dimensional representation of the surface of the earth that preserves compass directions. Other conformal maps, sometimes called orthomorphic projections, preserve angles but not shapes. |

Parylene is deposited at the molecular level, resulting in a very high degree of conformality - on flat surfaces, over inside and outside comers, and in deep crevices. Based on the industry-leading Radiance(R) chamber, the RadOx technology grows a higher density film, with smoother interfaces, increased conformality and higher growth rates compared to furnace oxidation. The penetrating nature of vacuum-deposition produces inert, nonreactive, pinhole free coating conformality that provides environmental barrier protection, chemical resistance and mechanical and dielectric strength. |
